Each year, thousands of tourists pay a visit to the world's first permanent and largest Titanic Exhibition called Titanic ~ The Experience.
Located at 8445 International Drive in Orlando, Fla., the Titanic Exhibition covers an area of 15,000 square feet and features 17 rooms fully recreated to resemble famous rooms, such as the Grand Staircase and the First Class Parlor Suite.
The Titanic Exhibition includes more than 200 artifacts from historical collections around the world.
It also contains several displays of original movie memorabilia from famous Titanic films. The tour includes interaction with trained actors dressed in period costumes portraying famous Titanic passengers and crew members, including Capt. Smith and Molly Brown.
At the Titanic Exhibition, guests can take a walk on the Promenade Deck. Simulated conditions allow visitors to experience the chill of the Atlantic as well as gazing up at a star studded night sky. The Titanic Exhibition also includes and Underwater Room which showcases an 8 foot replica of the Titanic wreckage discovered at the bottom of the Atlantic.
After a tour of the Titanic Exhibition, tourists can enjoy spending time browsing the large selection of souvenirs and merchandise sold in the gift shop. Merchandise includes books, photos, jewelry and postcards. Popular films such as James Cameron's documentary, Ghosts of the Abyss, National Geographic's Secrets of the Titanic and the blockbuster hit Titanic, starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio, also are kept in stock.
The 2005 Harris Expedition Henri Lloyd Jacket also is available in the museum gift shop. The jacket is an exact replica of the jackets worn by the expedition crew that discovered the Titanic at the bottom of the Atlantic. It is lightweight, 100 percent waterproof and priced at $189.95. Other popular souvenir items include the White Star Line camouflage cap for $15, the Titanic floater pen for $4.99 and the Titanic ship-replica pen for $4.99.
The Titanic Exhibition can be rented for special events such as birthdays, weddings, banquets and receptions. A package accommodates a limit of 200 people and includes a guided tour of the Titanic ~ The Experience.
The Titanic Exhibition operates daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are priced at $19.95 for adults, $12.95 for children 4 to 12 years old and free for children 3 years and under. Tickets are available on site at the Titanic Exhibition and can be purchased in advance by telephone.
